KOTA KINABALU (25/07/23): Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) has confirmed that they will strive to increase the level of staff happiness so that employees can fulfil their service responsibilities more effectively.
UMS Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) Prof. Dr. Shahril Yusof said that one of the approaches adopted involved taking proactive measures to improve the service grade promotion system.
“The university also prioritizes a pleasant work environment in addition to encouraging staff to carry out regular joint programs dedicated to leisure,” he said.
Prof Shahril said this during an official meeting with the academic and administrative staff of the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning (PPIB), UMS this morning.
Also present for the dialogue were PPIB Dean Associate Professor Dr. Lai Yew Meng, Deputy Dean (Academic) Dr. Abang Mohd Razif Abang Muis, Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Community Service) Dr. Kavita Ganesan and Head of PPIB Administration Awina Kamis.
Meanwhile, Prof. Shahril requested complete details from PPIB on how to simplify the system of grading for lecturers and language teachers. – By Henry Bating & John Mark Storey
